The Opportunity:
SGK contacted LPi in early November 2024 to assist in locating a specialty dichroic film to be used as platforms and backdrop in retail displays for one of their clients. SGK had been searching for weeks to find the material and a partner with the expertise to adhere it to the base material and die cut it into multiple section shapes needed to fit the display. After speaking with LPi, LPi was able to assess the challenges faced with this delicate project:
· Current material option is a high-cost dichroic 3M film specified by the end client putting a strain on the project budget
· Locating a partner who could meet the requirement to obtain and adhere the specialty film to produce the necessary units
· Sourcing the material and completing the necessary prototyping during the upcoming holiday season to allow the project to be completed and delivered on time
The Solution:

The breakthrough came from combining a fresh perspective with experience:
· LPi owner, Joshua Steig, recognized the material challenges immediately from his years in the industry sourcing and utilizing a wide range of specialty materials
· Within minutes, SGK was receiving photos of comparable materials readily available at a fraction of the cost

Turning Potential into Reality
What happened next was the timely and delicate work of the partnership:
· Prototyping: Material was obtained from each material source to quickly produce prototypes in different colors, testing each combination to ensure perfect results
· It’s A Go: The approval of LPi’s alternative material allowed the project cost to come in lower than expected allowing the project to get underway
· Production: LPi quickly procured the materials allowing for production to be completed ahead of schedule all while delicately handling the specialty material to ensure its perfection when
arriving at its final destination
· Distribution: With 37 individual stores set to receive a kit of specific units, each kit needed to be delicately packed to ensure no damage to the specialty film during the shipping process. Each unit was required to be individually foam wrapped and then secured in bubble wrap before placing inside each carton.
The Results
LPi completed the project ahead of schedule and shipped each kit to arrive on time without the need for expedited shipment. The timely execution and decision-making on behalf of SGK and LPi allowed the project to be completed flawlessly.
